About the Programme
The FIFA/CIES International Programme in Sports Management, developed by the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) in cooperation with FIFA since 2004, is delivered through a global academic network in 21 countries in partnership with leading universities.
The programme provides comprehensive training in the key areas of sports management, including communication, law, marketing and sponsorship, management, finance, and event management, through 150–200 hours of courses delivered in the local language of each partner university.
It aims to equip participants with the fundamental principles of modern management and practical tools to effectively manage sports organisations such as federations, clubs, and associations, while considering the economic, cultural, and social context of their local environment.
The programme also offers international exposure through initiatives such as CIES conferences with international experts, global alumni webinars, and international networking opportunities
